Courtesy call: The OHIS in Kogi central pays visit on CUSTECH

The Management Team of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara led by the Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahaman Asipita Salawu today received warmly the five Ohis across Kogi Central in his office.

Other members of the Management Team in attendance were the Registrar, Ms. Olufunke Hudson, Mr. John Alaji, the Bursar and Mr. Jeremiah Salifu, the University Librarian.

The visiting five Ohis were: Ohi of Okene, His Royal Highness, Dr. Isa Mamman Okatahi, Ohi of Eika, His Royal Highness Mall. Umar Momohjimoh Opewu, Ohi of Eganyi, His Royal Highness Alh. Musa I. Achuja. The two others are: His Royal Highness Ahmed O. Abdulraheem, Ohi of Ihima and His Royal Highness, Alh. M.I. Bello the Ohi of Adavi.

Speaking on behalf of the visiting Ohis, the Ohi of Adavi His Royal Highness, Alh. M.I. Bello said, “We thank God for this institution of higher learning that is cited here in Kogi Central. It is an ivory tower that is for Kogi State which we know will soon grow into a world project. We are seeing it as royal father’s that CUSTECH will soon be having people from all over the world as staff and students.”

The Royal Father added that, “We are also grateful for seeing the high calibre of staff and the gradual execution of the standard envisioned by the founders. It is based on this that we are confident to say that we are already seeing a world class university in the making. One is attracted by the beauty of the environment. We can see the egg heads who are here.”

The traditional breaking of kola nut for prayers was performed by the Ohi of Eika, His Royal Highness, Mall. Umar Momohjimoh Opewu. He prayed that God Almighty will keep the Management Team, the staff and the entire students and also for the school to grow in leaps and bounds.

The vote of thanks was taken by Pharm. Muhammed Asuku Audu. He thanked the visiting Royal Father’s saying, “On behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Management Team, staff and students of CUSTECH, we thank you for finding it worthy to be here today out of your tight schedules. We really appreciate your coming today and we believe that your prayers for CUSTECH, Kogi State and Nigeria at large will have the divine listening ears of God Almighty.”

The visiting Ohis and the Management Team were thereafter driven in one of CUSTECH’s coaster buses round the site where new projects are presently ongoing. A group photograph was also taken to commemorate the coming together of the five Ohis to CUSTECH, Osara.
