Court to honour legal giant, Lucius Nwosu with valedictory session June 6

The authorities of the Federal High Court of Nigeria will on Monday, June 6 honour late legal luminary, Chief Lucius Nwosu with a valedictory session.

The special valedictory session, the first of its kind to be held for a private practitioner, will be conducted at the Ruth Ukeje Hall of the headquarters of the Court in Abuja.

A program of the event sighted on Wednesday by our correspondent indicated that the session is at the instance of the Chief Judge of the Court, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho.

Our correspondent gathered that the authorities of the court put the special court valedictory session together as a mark of appreciation of the contributions of the legal giant to the growth of the court and law in general.

One of the closest legal associates of the legal luminary, Chief James Ogwu Onoja, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria is coordinating the program.

Our correspondent observed that eminent Nigerians and various organisations including the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Body of Benchers, Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria and the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, have been invited to make presentation and pay last honour to the late lawyer.

Chief Lucius Ezeakammadu Nwosu became famous in his lifetime as a result of his persistent fight on the side of the downtrodden in the country.

He passed away in his sleep last month.
