Corruption: GPMI hails EFCC boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa

… Plans to award Bawa International Peace Award

President General, Global Peace Movement International, UK Dr. Mike Uyi yesterday applauded the chairman Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa for his determined fight against economic crimes and corruption.

Uyi noted that Abdulrasheed Bawa is living up to his promise. The EFCC under his watch has made tremendous progress in exposing high level corruption cases, and has recovered mouthwatering sums of money from corrupt public office holders.

“We have watch carefully and seen that Bawa is a disciplinarian that is very strict with operatives of the commission to achieve service delivery and productivity”.

GPMI described Bawa’s administration as a new beginning for the anti-graft body, adding that his records in the fight against internet fraud, money laundering and all forms of financial crimes make him standout.

Uyi further advised Nigerians to take ownership of the fight against graft support Bawa in his mandate to chase corrupt men and women out of the Nigerian society.

The statement also announced that 28 anti graft None Governmental organizations (NGOs) in Europe and America have concluded thier investigations on Abdulrasheed Bawa on his leadership since his assumption as the Chairman of EFCC.

“After careful compilation of the results, Global Peace Movement International, UK we award the anti graft Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, International Peace Award in March, 2023.
