Residents of Giyawa community in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State in the early hours of Sunday killed a suspected bandit.
The community reportedly resisted fleeing bandits, from Samana village in Binji Local Government Area of the state, from passing through their village on their way to their Goronyo forest hideout.
They also recovered about 150 rustled livestock from the criminals.
A source said that four persons were allegedly killed, 18 others abducted, and many livestock rustled recently in Giyawa.
The acting spokesperson of the Sokoto State Police Command, ASP Ahmad Rufa’i, could not be reached for comment at the time of filing this report.
