A former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Simon Asuba, on Wednesday visited Atiku Abubakar, a two-time presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Asuba visited Atiku at his Abuja residence alongside other political stakeholders from Kogi State.
In a video post shared on X, Atiku said he received a delegation of stakeholders from the Kogi East Senatorial Zone.
He wrote, “Yesterday, I received a delegation of stakeholders from the Kogi East Senatorial Zone led by former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Simon Asuba.”
Asuba served as the governor of Kogi State under the leadership of Yahaya Bello between 2016 and 2019.
He was replaced in the buildup of the 2019 election with Edward Onoja, who served as Bello’s deputy from 2019 to 2024.
