Everton midfielder Amadou Onana has made his final decision on leaving the club for Chelsea, as he turned down a move to Chelsea who are looking to bolster Graham Potter’s squad before the end of the January transfer window.
The Belgian is on Chelsea’s shortlist having impressed at Everton following his arrival from Lille last summer.
Het Nieuwsblad reports that Chelsea are confident that they can agree a deal with Everton for Onana but the 21-year-old has rejected a switch to Stamford Bridge.
The young midfielder is reportedly focused on helping keep Everton in the Premier League this season.
But the report went on to claim that Chelsea are not giving up but could try to change the player’s mind, while a move to Arsenal this month could be more realistic.
Everton have placed a price tag of £50m on Onana, who was valued at £33m just five months ago.
