Chelsea set to overtake Arsenal as biggest spenders with Caicedo deal

Chelsea is set to leapfrog Arsenal as the league’s biggest spenders in this window.

The Blues will extend their spending spree to £285.9m with the imminent £115m signing of Moises Caicedo.

This summer, the Blues have also signed Christopher Nkunku (£52m), Axel Disasi (£38.8m), Nicolas Jackson (£32m), Robert Sanchez (£25m), Lesley Ugochukwu (£23.1m), Angelo Gabriel, Ishe Samuels-Smith, Diego Moreira and Alex Matos (all undisclosed).

Chelsea, who is now managed by Mauricio Pochettino, began the campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Liverpool.

New boy, Disasi scrambled home the equalizer after Luis Diaz had given the Reds the lead in the first half.
