Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, was left “disappointed” following their 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, according to manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Blues have lost three times already this campaign having played just six matches.
They currently sit in 14th place with five points, four above relegation places.
Chelsea had controversially been reduced to 10 men as Malo Gusto was shown a straight red card, before Ollie Watkins struck the only goal of the match in the 73rd minute.
Speaking after the game, Pochettino was asked what the club hierarchy have made of Chelsea’s poor start to the season.
He replied: “Give me time because I didn’t see them after the game.
“They are disappointed, they arrived at the club and are so excited to build a project.
“Of course they feel disappointed but at the same time they need to support the plan.”
