Chelsea hand Arsenal Lavia boost

Arsenal have been given a boost with the news that their Premier League rival Chelsea have cooled their interest in Southampton’s Romeo Lavia.

Lavia is reportedly a target for Arsenal and has been suggested as a replacement for Thomas Partey, who could leave the Gunners this summer.

According to Football London, the £50million price tag for the 19-year-old midfielder is much higher than Chelsea’s valuation.

As a result, the Blues have cooled their interest in Lavia, handing Arsenal a boost.

The report added that Manchester City also have a buy-back clause of just £40million for Lavia that expires in 2024.

Lavia joined Southampton from Man City last year.
