Ahead of 2023 general elections, Ademu Mahmoud Atta Support Group (AMASG) has donated 11 Siena buses to boost the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign activities in Kogi state.
The Director General of the organization, Hon. Ben Abenemi while inaugurating the zonal and local government campaign coordinators and the vehicles in Lokoja on Thursday, said since politics is about the people, the coordinators should take the campaign to the grassroots where the majority of the voters resided.
“As coordinators of zones and local government areas in Kogi state, you are expected to vigorously canvass for the People Democratic Party and today we are inaugurating the committee and empowering you with vehicle so that you can commence your activities across the state” the DG said.
While describing the support group as unique, the Director General stated that PDP campaign is being strategized on the basis of ‘bottom to top approach’, saying the desire of the party is to take the country from bottom to top where PDP left the country in 2015.
He charged the coordinators to mobilize and deliver 150,000 votes from each local government areas of the state to give Atiku/Okowa overwhelming victory during the presidential election.
“The support group aside the presidential election victory, it will also give support to PDP to ensure that the party return back to Lugard house” he stated.
Abenemi who is the Kogi state vice chairman of PDP commended the founder of the group Alhaji Ademu Mahmoud Atta for his commitment toward ensuring that PDP and its presidential candidate triumph in the forthcoming general election, Hon Abenemi described him as a serious politician that has the interest of his party at heart.
In his remarks , the representative of Kogi central senatorial district Ben Aliba told his fellow coordinators that the task ahead of them is enormous and charged them to work together as indivisible entity in order to achieve the desired goals of the founder of the campaign organization.
