CAF Confederation Cup: Bendel Insurance head to Algiers

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, bids Bendel Insurance farewell on Wednesday as the team depart for the CAF Confederation Cup second-leg tie against Algeria’s ASO Chlef.

The Monday Odigie side left Benin City en route to Lagos to connect with a flight to Algiers.

Bendel Insurance will lock horns with ASO Chlef at the Salem Mabrouki stadium in Rouiba this weekend.

The Benin Arsenal hold a slim advantage over their North African opponent after a 1-0 victory in the first leg last weekend.

Bendel Insurance will progress to the next stage if they can avoid a defeat in Algeria.

The club is participating in the competition for the first time.
