President Muhammadu Buhari has since left the Eagles Square in Abuja, the venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as voting continues to pick the party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.
There are 14 aspirants left in the race.
They are: David Umahi, Tunde Bakare, Bola Tinubu, Ahmad Rufai Sani, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Yemi Osinbajo, Rochas Okorocha, Yahaya Bello, Tein Jack-Rich, Ogbonnaya Onu, Ahmad Lawan, Ben Ayade and Ikeobasi Mokelu
Those who stepped down for either Tinubu or Osinbajo include: Ken Nnamani, Robert A. Boroffice, Badaru Abubakar, Ibikunle Amosun, Godswill Akpabio, Kayode Fayemi, Nicholas Felix, Uju Ken-Ohanenye and Dimeji Bankole.
However, the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, failed to show up at the venue of the convention and did not appear on stage to market his candidacy.
Voting is currently going on, with delegates voting according to their States.
