Buhari eulogizes Gov. Akeredolu’s late mother

President Muhammadu Buhari has extended condolences to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and his family on the passing of their beloved mother, Mrs Grace Akeredolu.

In a statement signed by Femi Adesina, his spokesman, Buhari urged the Akeredolu family members to draw strength from the life lessons taught by Mama, the values of care and compassion she inculcated in them and the sacrifices she made for her children to succeed in life.

President Buhari prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed, and urged the family to hold fast to their faith and trust in God to guide them through this difficult period.

Earlier reported that Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu, mother of Governor Akeredolu, died peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Thursday.

She was said to be 90-years-old.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, confirmed the passing of the nonagenarian.

“She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.

“Further announcements will be made by the family in due course,” he said.
