BRGIE Claims Former US Congressman Moran Supports Biafra Independence

A former Congressman, Jim Moran is advocating for Biafra Liberation, the Simon Ekpa-led Biafra Republic Government In-Exile has said.

Ekpa made the assertion through his X handle on Friday.

According to him, “Moran justified his advocacy for Biafra Independence with the 1967-1970 Civil War which he said left about two million Biafra dead and the continued marginalization of the southeast region by the Nigerian government.”

He further claimed that Moran would lobby to gain US support for Biafra’s independence.

“Moran raised alarm on the Government of Nigeria, human rights abuses, religious freedom issues and persecution of Christians,” Ekpa claimed.

Moran, a Democrat, represented the northern Virginia communities of Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax County in the US, for 24 years.
