BREAKING: Tinubu finally departs Paris for Nigeria

‎President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally ended his working vacation in Europe after spending at least 30 days away from Nigeria.

‎

‎The president, who departed Abuja for Europe on August 30 for his annual leave, was expected to return to the country after 21 days.

‎

‎His return, however, was rescheduled at least two times.

‎

‎DAILY POST reports that Tinubu’s absence from the country has drawn criticism from opposition parties, which have demanded clarification on his whereabouts and health status.

‎

‎In a statement issued on Tuesday, the president’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga said the president has already departed Paris, France, for the homeward journey to Nigeria.

‎

‎According to Onanuga, President Tinubu’s aircraft “is expected to touch down at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, later this evening.

‎

‎“The Nigerian leader chose to fly to Lagos first to honour the memory of Chief MKO Abiola, the martyr of Nigeria’s democratic struggle”.
