The body of the famous Nigerian businessman, Alhaji Amiu Dantata has arrived in Madina, Saudi Arabia for his funeral.
Dantata died in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates at the age of 94.
His burial is slated to take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, according to Islamic rites.
Mustapha Jubaidu, a spokesperson for the Dantata family in a statement said the delegation led by Aliko Dangote accompanied the body of the late businessman to Madina.
Junaidu said the body landed safely
and was being prepared for final preparations ahead of the Janazah (funeral prayer).
“The aircraft landed in Madina. We are now heading to the city for further preparations of the funeral prayer,” he said.
According to Junaidu, a funeral prayer would take place after the Asr (late afternoon) prayer, in accordance with Islamic rites.
