Bishop of Anglican diocese, Lokoja calls for selfless, devoted service from members

The Diocesan Board’s members have been asked by the Most Rev. Emmanuel Egbunu, Bishop of the Lokoja Anglican Communion, to continue their selfless and devoted service.

The Bishop who made this announcement at the first board meeting of the diocese, requested the Church to pray for the Judiciary to act properly, particularly at this time in the country’s history.

He encouraged the judiciary’s leadership to always act rightly in front of God and people, especially with reference to the different election situations that were before them.

He exhorted Christians to always put the country first and said that as Christians we are commanded to continually pray for the country and her leaders.

He charged Christians to always put the nation first, adding that as Christians we are enjoined to constantly put the nation and her leadership in our prayers.

Addressing the board member further, he charged them to note that serving in the Vineyard is a privilege that should not be taken for granted, while praying that the good Lord will continue to uphold them and their ministry.

The Chairman of the 2023 Synod Planning Committee Mrs Rhoda Akanya disclosed that the 2023 synod will hold from 20th to 23rd July 2023 at Adankolo Missionary Archdeaconry.

She, however, pointed out the 2023 synod would be co-hosted alongside Adankolo Archdeaconry by Bassa Archdeaconry.

She who said the Synod theme is “As for me and my family, we shall serve the Lord”, urged all members in the Communion to join hands with the planning committee for a successful synod.
