Bishop charges Christians to join parties, get PVC

Catholic Bishop of Minna Diocese, Martins Uzoukwu has urged Christians to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).

The cleric also charged them to become members of political parties.

Uzoukwu spoke to the press in Minna.

He stressed that it was high time more Christians joined politics to be able to influence the outcome of elections.

”We should not be left behind, hence the need for sundry to register in electing a leader that will ensure good democratic governance in 2023″, he said.

The bishop advised leaders to fix the insecurity in Nigeria, warning that it undermines the nation’s corporate existence.

He added that security would ensure an atmosphere “for smooth implementation of the electoral process in 2023″.

The cleric further advised Nigerians to shun unrighteousness to attract mercy from God.

“Prayer is justice towards God, fasting is justice towards oneself, while alms giving is justice toward others”, he explained.
