Benue: One allegedly killed by Gov Alia’s convoy

One person has reportedly been killed in a crash involving the convoy of Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia at Ihugh town in Vandeikya Local Government Area of the state.

According to Daily Trust, residents reported that two separate accidents occurred on Sunday near Ihugh Market in Vandeikya, the hometown of Governor Alia.

The locals claimed that the first incident happened as the governor travelled to his community for the Christmas holidays, with a vehicle in his convoy allegedly striking and killing a man.

On the return trip to Makurdi, the state capital, another accident involving a vehicle in the governor’s convoy reportedly occurred in the same Ihugh area, with allegations that some people were injured.
