Bandits kill two, injure three in Zaria community 

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked farmers, killing two in the Iyatawa area of Igabi Local Government Area, Zaria, Kaduna State.

A source, Muhammed Madaki disclosed this to Newsmen in Kaduna, on Saturday.

He said the victims, Alhaji Mustapha Lawal and Bello Lawal had gone to their farm to plant some crops when the bandits struck, killed two of them and kidnapped three others.

According to him, the victims were residents of Kofar Jatau in Zaria city.

He also revealed that Alhaji Lawal Kofar Jatau, their father, had narrowly escaped kidnap last rainy season on the same farmland but sustained severe injuries.

The State police command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige did not pick his calls for confirmation, just as he did not respond to text messages sent to him.
