Atiku: We’ll Utilize Nasarawa, FCT Proximity To Develop Latter

PRESS RELEASE

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has pledged that his administration will use the nearness of Nasarawa state to the nation’s capital, Abuja to develop its infrastructure.

Alhaji Atiku, who was in Lafia along with his campaign team in continuation of his tour of states to seek votes ahead of the 2023 election, also promised to, in partnership, hopefully with a PDP Governor in the state, establish industries to roll back the problem of youths unemployment.

“As we all know Nasarawa State is not maximising its natural advantage of being neighbour to the FCT. We would, therefore, upon winning elections work with the state gubernatorial candidates , Hon. David Ombugadu, to improve infrastructure in the State so that it can take its rightful place as the neighbour of FCT,” Atiku said.

He also added that in furtherance of his industrialization and employment generation agenda, youth and women would also be empowered.

On insecurity in the state and the country, the candidate asserted that “it is unacceptable for insecurity to subsist in whatever ever form in Nassarawa State either in terms of communal clashes, kidnappings, wanton killings.”

He, therefore, submitted that his administration “will review the national security architecture to ensure that every part of the nation is live-able; and in peace and harmony.

“People should be free to go their farms and plantations and neighbours should live in harmony,” he said.

Reminding the people of the state of their inclination towards the PDP in the past, the ex-Vice President expressed optimism that they are now yearning to return home.

Reechoing the hope of Atiku, both the Chairman and Director General of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organization (APCO), Governors Emmanuel Udom and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Akwa Ibom and Sokoto states said
PDP is the party of choice in Nasarawa state.

They pledged that a vote for Atiku is one against hunger, poverty, unemployment, insecurity and other problems.

They also reiterated that Atiku will work with the state PDP gubernatorial candidate Hon. David Ombugadu, if they both win, to develop the state
