Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai at his Abuja residence following the death of his mother.
El-Rufai’s mother passed away on Friday afternoon after battling age-related health complications that had worsened in recent times.
The former governor was earlier released from the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission shortly after news of the bereavement emerged.
He had also received visits from former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami, and several other prominent opposition figures.
