Arteta takes decision on Ramsdale leaving Arsenal

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said he wants Aaron Ramsdale to stay at the club.

The 25-year-old is being linked with a move away from the Emirates in January.

Ramsdale has started only one Premier League game since September 3.

The England goalkeeper has been replaced as Arsenal’s no.1 by summer loan signing David Raya.

ESPN reports that Ramsdale is attracting interest from Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Newcastle United are also in the market for a goalkeeper after Nick Pope’s shoulder injury.

But Arteta said on Monday: “I want Aaron with us. I am very happy to have two very, very good goalkeepers and Aaron is staying with us.”
