Army, hunters kill bandits, arrest robbers, recover arms, motorcycle 

A combined team of hunters and the military, on Thursday, killed bandits and arrested armed robbers in Kaduna and Plateau States.

Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Bernard Onyeuko, made this known in a statement on Thursday.

According to the statement, troops of Operation Safe Haven, in collaboration with hunters, killed bandits and kidnappers in Kaduna and Plateau States.

The troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, 101 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, five magazines, one motorcycle, one iron digger, two black jackets, among others, during the operations.

It said the bandits and kidnappers were neutralised during separate clearance operations conducted in Plateau and Kaduna States.

It said the feat was recorded based on credible intelligence, leading to clearance operations in conjunction with vigilantes at Kan Duniya Village, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State, adding that in the process, the troops neutralised notorious bandits and kidnappers.

According to him, on the same day, immediately, the troops on fighting patrol sighted two suspected kidnappers around the Sara High Ground Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

He said the suspected criminals abandoned their motorcycle and fled.
