A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), from Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Comrade, Abdulraheem Okekenu, has congratulated Kogi Governor-Elect, Alhaji Usman Ododo on his victory at the just concluded November 11, 2023 off-cyle election in the state and the subsequent issuance of certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC)..
In a congratulatory message signed by Comrade Okekenu, he maintained that Ododo’s victory was much expected owing to his hardwork and vigorous campaign across the three senatorial districts of the stated by his party the APC. ” he is indeed the true Kogi agenda
He commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his purposeful leadership and developmental giant stride which he said formed the campaign points of the APC candidate.
According to him, governor Yahaya Bello worked harder than any governor since the creation of the state in 1991 on providing the needed critical infrastructures, saying that he has laid a solid foundation for the continuous development of the state.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the governor-elec, to build on the foundation already laid by the incumbent governor, given his credible track record in both his private and public life.
Comrade Okekenu noted that as a team player, he has gathered enough experience that will enable him to galvanized the human and material resources which abound in the state to creat wealth for the people and take the state to an enviable height.
He called on the people of the state, including those who contested with him to join hands with him to develop the state that all the citizens would be proud of.
“Election has come and gone. I urge you all to work with him to enable him to take the state to an enviable height. I also called on those who contested with him, to in the spirit of sportsmanship join him in his quest to provide the needed leadership for the people of the state.
“I’m confident that Alhaji Usman Ododo will not disappoint the people of the state, I assure you all that Kogi people will never regret electing him.
