APC primaries: Oshiomhole, Ikpea win senatorial tickets in Edo

‎A former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole has won the senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to return to the Senate to represent Edo North Senatorial District.


‎Oshiomhole was returned unopposed in the party primaries which held across Edo North district.


‎Returning Officer for the Edo North senatorial election, Mr. Kassim Otono, declared Oshiomhole the winner after he secured 24,284 votes by affirmation.


‎Oshiomhole, in a chat with journalists, thanked the people for renewing his mandate for a second term.


‎Even when you have other people contesting in other parts of the country and having dispute on who to contest.


‎“And for me to have nobody challenging me in Edo North, for me that is an honour and I can’t thank the people of Edo North.”
