APC Chairman Suspended Over Alleged Theft, Misconduct in Ekiti

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended its chairman in Emure Local Government, Ekiti State, Mr. Bola Oluwole, over allegations of theft, misconduct, and misappropriation of party funds.

In a statement released in Ikere Ekiti, the APC leadership in Ekiti North Senatorial District announced the suspension, citing the recommendations of a seven-man disciplinary committee.

The committee was constituted to investigate allegations against Oluwole, including stealing, high-handedness, rudeness, and misappropriation of party funds.

The statement ordered Oluwole to hand over all party properties to the Vice Chairman, Mr. Gabriel Monday Omoniyi, who will act as the chairman in his place.

This development comes after some party members staged a peaceful protest at the party’s secretariat in Ado Ekiti, calling for Oluwole’s suspension over alleged diversion of palliatives and other offenses.

However, Oluwole claims he has not received any suspension letter.
