Ancelotti speaks on striker to replace Benzema at Real Madrid

Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that the club wants to sign a striker who can score goals and link up well with the team.

Ancelotti said this on Sunday when asked at his post-match press conference about a possible replacement for striker, Karim Benzema.

Benzema played his final game on Sunday for Real Madrid as he scored in their La Liga 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The likes of Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Chelsea’s Kai Havertz and Espanyol’s Joselu have all been linked with a move to replace Benzema at Real Madrid.

Speaking about Benzema’s departure after Real Madrid’s final game of the La Liga season on Sunday, Ancelotti said when asked about Benzema’s possible replacement: “We want to sign a striker who can score goals and link up well.

“A striker who plays football well.”
