Anambra election: We’re waiting – Gov Soludo warn riggers

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has warned those planning to rig the November 8 governorship election in the state.

Soludo warned that he is waiting for those planning to rig the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Speaking during his campaign rally in Awka yesterday, the governor said: “We know where they are planning with. We know when they want to come. We know how they want to come. We are waiting for them. November 8, let them come and practice it in Anambra. We are waiting.”

The governor also pledged to support the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, “100 percent” to ensure that the election becomes a model.

“You see, what we stand for, we are going to cooperate 100 percent with INEC, and particularly the new leadership in INEC.

“Now we will cooperate with them 101 percent to ensure that the next election, the governorship election in Anambra, will become a model.

“We are planning for nothing but a credible election. Let the people vote, count the votes, announce the votes, full stop. We don’t want anything more, nothing more, nothing less,” he said.
