Patrick Aghamba, Commissioner for Youths Development in Anambra State, and his wife have been kidnapped.
One of the commissioner’s aides, whose name was given as ABK Offiah, was allegedly killed in the process.
They were said to be traveling to Abuja for the wedding of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s daughter when they were attacked on Friday.
Reacting, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police spokesman, said the command heard about the development and escalated it to other state commands for possible action as the incident happened in another state.
Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, said the government was yet to find out the exact location where the incident happened.
According to him, Edo State and Kogi State were mentioned.
