Alleged organ harvesting: Ike Ekweremadu, Wife denied bail 

Two Nigerians, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu have been formally charged with conspiracy to facilitate the travel of another person for organ harvesting.

Metropolitan Police had said the couple were charged with ‘conspiracy to arrange and facilitate the travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.

The couple who appeared before the Uxbridge Magistrate Court on Thursday afternoon were denied bail.

The alleged victim is said to be a homeless 15-year-old boy who was brought to the U.K. by Mr and Mrs Ekweremadu, from the streets of Lagos.

The suspects have been remanded in custody and the case adjourned to July 7th 2022.
