The Akwu Adejo Adeiza Foundation (AAAF) has officially announced its entry into Nigeria’s humanitarian and development landscape following its incorporation by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), with a commitment to driving sustainable community development and improving the lives of vulnerable people at the grassroots.
The foundation, which received its Certificate of Incorporation with recently, said its mission is to promote social welfare, education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment, poverty reduction, and community-based development initiatives across Nigeria.
Speaking on the official debut of the organisation, the Country Director, Sir Augustine Aminu KSM, described the Akwu Adejo Adeiza Foundation as a true grassroots-focused organisation established to bridge the gap between underserved communities and opportunities for sustainable development.
According to him, the foundation is committed to reaching rural communities where the need for humanitarian intervention is greatest, stressing that meaningful development begins at the grassroots.
“The Akwu Adejo Adeiza Foundation is a grassroots foundation dedicated to touching lives where it matters most. Our vision is to empower communities through education, healthcare support, youth and women development, humanitarian assistance, skills acquisition, and initiatives that promote self-reliance and dignity.
We believe that lasting national development starts from the grassroots,” Sir Aminu said.
He noted that the organisation would collaborate with government institutions, development partners, corporate organisations, traditional institutions, religious bodies, and civil society groups to implement impactful programmes capable of transforming communities.
Sir Aminu added that the foundation would prioritise transparency, accountability, inclusiveness, and service to humanity in all its interventions, while ensuring that resources are effectively utilised to benefit those most in need.
He further explained that the foundation’s programmes would include educational scholarships, healthcare outreach, vocational and entrepreneurial training, agricultural support, environmental sustainability projects, humanitarian relief, advocacy for vulnerable groups, and community capacity-building initiatives.
The Country Director called on well-meaning Nigerians, philanthropists, corporate organisations, and international development partners to partner with the foundation in advancing its vision of building stronger, healthier, and more prosperous communities.
With its official incorporation, the Akwu Adejo Adeiza Foundation says it is poised to become a catalyst for positive social change by promoting hope, empowering individuals, and fostering inclusive development that leaves no community behind.
