Akwa United boss, Ayeni reveals NPFL ambition

Akwa United coach, Ayodeji Ayeni, has said his team is working tirelessly to secure a spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six tournament.

The Promise Keepers are currently third on the Group A table with 15 points from nine matches.

Ayeni stated that his players are hungry to achieve their collective goal of playing in the Super Six.

“We are working tirelessly to maintain to secure a spot in the Super Six,” Ayeni said in a chat with news correspondent.

“We are hungry to earn that Super Six spot, and we will work hard to achieve our objective.

“It is not going to be easy but we believe it is something that is achieveable and we also have the quality to do it.”

The Promise Keepers will take on Shooting Stars at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday.
