… condoles with Deceased Families.

Against the backdrop of Thursday mindless attack and killing of some defenceless people of Agojeju-Odo, in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State, the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, in the National Assembly, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem has commended the steps taken so far by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to ensure that peace returned to the area.
In a statement by the lawmaker, he described the attack as callous, primitive and wicked, but however said hat the machinery put in place to forestall a repeat of this senseless act by the Governor is a welcome development which will bring lasting peace to the area.
“We are aware of the steps taken by the government so far and deserved the commendation of all of us. The Governor as a proactive leader who believes that the life of one person is as important as that of many is already doing everything possible within the powers of government to bring the situation under control.
“While I condemned in strong terms this needless killings, I called on the people to be vigilant and work with the security agencies to unravel the Mistry behind this latest attack.
“Our people need to live in peace to guarantee development and progress. As a people we must continue to support every effort of government to achieve peace and stability in our communities.
“I’m happy that the Governor Ododo’s administration is determined to ensure that all forms of crime and criminalities are stamped out of our dear state. I’m convinced that the lunch of the metropolitant security architecture recently by Governor Ododo, will achieve this in no distant time.
“I used this opportunity to condoled with families of those who lost their lives in this evil attack and prayed for quick recovery of those who sustained varying degrees of Injuries.
While commending the security agencies for their tireless efforts to ensure a safe Kogi state for all, the lawmaker enjoined them to fish out the perpetrators of this attack and bring them to book, so as to serve as deterrent to others who may want toe the same part.
