Agojeju-Odo herdsmen attack victims get support from Sen. Echocho

In the wake of a devastating herdsmen attack that left residents of Agojeju-Odo in Omala Local Government of Kogi State reeling from loss and displacement, Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho has offered and provided vital support to the affected community.

Representing the Kogi East Senatorial District, Senator Echocho’s empathetic and timely response has provided respite and succor to the beneficiaries, indicating utmost commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by his constituents in times of crisis.

With heartfelt compassion, Senator Echocho has donated 100 bags of rice, a fundamental food staple, to help sustain the displaced families during their time of need. Additionally, he has provided a significant amount of cash support, recognizing the urgent financial requirements of those grappling with the aftermath of the tragedy.

Donating the relief materials on behalf of the Senator, Hon. Ibrahim Amodu, Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho’s aide said that the Senator was committed to the welfare of the people of Kogi East, both in times of peace and in times of crisis, describing the Senator as “a man who has the love of his people at heart.”

“My Principal, Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, is dedicated to the welfare of the people of Kogi East. This commitment extends not only during times of peace, such as Easter for Christians and Sallah for Muslims but also in times of crisis, such as the unfortunate incident of a herdsmen attack in our community. He stands in solidarity with the good people of Omala and indeed, with everyone who has lost friends, relatives, acquaintances, and community members,” the Senator’s aide added.

While receiving the relief materials, Reverend Okeme expressed gratitude to the people’s Senator for his prompt and swift response. “We are thankful to Senator Echocho for his love, kindness, and generosity. I have heard of his numerous interventions across Igalaland. May God bless him and keep him. His love for our community is a reminder that we still have good leaders from Igalaland. We urge him to collaborate with authorities to ensure lasting peace is restored. We are a peaceful people, and peace is all we seek. While we appreciate him for the relief materials, kindly tell our Senator that the greatest relief we need in our community right now is peace,” he said.
