Africa fashion for set to honour African fashion trailblazer

As the African fashion for peace Week beckons, those who have distinguished themselves and contributed their quota to the fashion industry are being recognised.

Understanding the unique connection between fashion and modelling, AFFP has also been creating opportunities for African youths to make meaningful careers in modelling. 

THE PRESS STATEMENT:

We are pleased  to present the AFFP 22 5th, Legacy Edition. It has been  a yearly hosted event in the last five years. Inspired by the personal survival experience of Hopez Chioma  International Super-Model, Brand & Peace Tolerance Ambassador and Humanitarian. 

During the very tragic 25th June 2014 banex Abuja bomb explosion, the Africa fashion for peace yearly fashion event is  aimed at supporting displaced children in conflict zones with it proceeds . Bringing fashion world, Art , Music, Celebrity Guest and Honorees to make a difference.

This year  International Celebrate Model legendary 70th year Supermodel and culture icon Nanette Rhodesia Swain, all the way from New York City, USA, for the first time in Africa.

The Theme for this year is ‘Creativity  For Humanity’ creativity as a visible tools for service to humanity. As needs for peace arise round the world is to make sure in every areas of our life to create a space to embrace peace and say no to war .

In response to the humanitarian crisis resulting from conflicts, we have decided, for this year, to extend our yearly charitable fashion and exhibition event  towards specifically supporting the plight of the displaced children in conflict zones with proceeds realised from this year’s event scheduled for the 27th of August, 2022 at Novare Central Mall, by ShopRite Zone 5.  Abuja

Attendees of our fashion  events, dignitaries  expected  this year will include members of the diplomatic community, decision makers and CEOs of public and private institutions, philanthropists, art and fashion enthusiasts, the media and models  from USA, Ukraine Ghana and Nigeria.

In partnership with Nigeria 1914 to present our country’s history and culture through arts. We will be presenting educational arts and paintings from Nigeria and around the world at this year’s fashion show to further add colour and promote our humanity.

50% proceeds from this event is to be Chanel to children in Nigeria IDPs and the Ukraine displace Kids.
