AFRDC should go beyond parade, laying of wreath- Dr Mike Uyi

The president General Global Peace Movement International, UK Dr. Mike Uyi said the Nigerian Armed forces day should go beyond just parade and laying of wreath for our fallen heroes.

Dr. Uyi made this statement in London on Monday stressing the need to really look out for the families of our fallen heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the peace of Nigeria.

According to him, the survival of Nigeria till date calls for the sacrifices of men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces to be continually acknowledged.

“This year’s occasion is another significant period to mark and remember the sacrifices of men of the armed forces.

“We are here to place a debt of gratitude to men who paid the supreme sacrifice.

“Nigerians must continue to acknowledge the contributions of the armed forces to the survival of the nation.”

Uyi noted that Government should show more commitment to the well being of the service personnel and the veterans and their families in recognition of their service to the fatherland.
