Adamu: Wikki Tourists not doing enough in front of goal

Wikki Tourists head coach, Abdullahi Adamu admitted his players must start converting their chances following another disappointing defeat to Niger Tornadoes on Wednesday.

The Bauchi Elephants went down to a 2-0 defeat against their hosts at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

Adamu’s boys were once again let down by their poor marksmanship, a factor which has cost them points a number of times this season.

The gaffer promised to continue working on his strikers until they get things right.

“My boys played well throughout the game but scoring has been the issue and we are surely going to work on that before our next game,” Adamu assured.

“In football, you don’t win games if don’t score. That is one key area we need to work on. I believe we we will get it right soon.

“We have good strikers in our team but sometimes it doesn’t work in your favour. We will keep working hard to achieve our objective.”

Wikki Tourists have picked nine points from 11 games and occupy ninth position on the Group B table.
