Abia Election: LP’s Alex Otti selects 38-year-oĺd Emetu as running mate 

The Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Abia, Alex Otti has unveiled Ikechukwu Emetu as running mate.

Otti made the presentation in Umuahia, the capital, where he also inaugurated his campaign council.

A former House of Representatives member, Nnanna Ngwu will serve as the Chairman.

Otti explained that he got attracted to Emetu because of his antecedent as a philanthropist.

The business mogul said 38-year-old engineer Emetu satisfied his desire for a young citizen as his deputy.

The LP flagbearer recalled that he promised Abia youths a sense of belonging in the political space.

Otti said Emetu is known in his Ohafia Local Government Area for “community development service and humanitarian gestures”.

“So in all, he fits squarely into the characteristic and quality of the kind of deputy that I yearned for”, NAN quoted him saying.

Otti expressed confidence that his team would ensure a robust and result-oriented campaign that would ensure victory in 2023.

Emetu thanked the candidate for selecting him, assuring that he would mobilize his peers for the LP.

“This opportunity is not only for me but for millions of Abia youths. You have made us to believe that the future truly belongs to the youth”, Emetu said.
