Abara rues Niger Tonardoes’ home draw with Remo Stars

Niger Tonardoes head coach Hamza Abara cut a disappointed figure after his side were held to a 0-0 draw by Remo Stars in their matchday 12 encounter on Wednesday.

The Ikon Allah Boys battled hard in the game but failed to break down the visitors’ defence.

Abara said their plan was to take maximum points from the game.

“What we planned for was a win but we couldn’t conquer, which is quite disturbing, because we’ve been having sleepless nights trying to correct how to convert our chances,” he told the club’s media.

“Not that we are not getting or creating the chances, but how to convert the chances have been our greatest undoing.

“We have been giving the players the necessary coaching guides in terms of goal scoring because that’s our responsibility.”

Tornadoes moved to 16th position following the home draw.
