7 corpses recovered, many missing as gunmen launch fresh attack on Benue community

The armed bandits terrorizing parts of Benue State have attacked three communities in Entekpa Ward, Adoka District of Otukpo Local Government Area of the state.

Newsmen learnt that the attack, which occurred on Sunday night, claimed at least seven lives.

According to locals, an unspecified number of persons are still missing in the affected communities, including Iwili, Umogidi and Opaha in Entekpa Ward.

Chairman of Otukpo LGA, Alfred Oketa Omakwu confirmed that security operatives recovered the seven bodies on Tuesday.

Efforts to reach the state police command were unsuccessful as the spokesperson, Catherine Anene, could not take her calls.
