475 Adamawa pilgrims depart Yola for Madinah

The first batch of 475 Muslim pilgrims from Adamawa State have departed Yola for this year’s hajj in Madinah, Saudi Arabia,

The pilgrims were airlifted by a plane belonging to Aero-Contractors.

The Public Relations Officer of Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Yola, Alhaji Mikail Danjuma Mubi confirmed that the flight left the Yola International Airport at 9:18 pm, Sunday, with some officials of the Commission.

He said the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Malam Abubakar Salihu, as well as members of the state government delegation led by the Chairman, Dr AbdulHafiz Inuwa, were at the airport to bid the pilgrims farewell.
