2027 Election: Kaduna Govt Gives Deadline, Orders Resignation of All Appointees

‎The administration of Governor Uba Sani has issued a formal directive to all political appointees in Kaduna State who intend to participate in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

‎

‎According to the government order, any official currently serving in the state executive or various agencies who harbors elective ambitions must vacate their office by the 23rd of March, 2026.

‎

‎This decision is aimed at ensuring that the machinery of government remains focused on service delivery without the distractions of early campaigning.

‎

‎The directive applies to commissioners, special advisers, and heads of various departments who are eyeing seats in either the state or federal legislative houses, as well as other executive positions.

‎

‎By setting this deadline, the state government seeks to comply with the necessary legal frameworks and the electoral guidelines that govern the conduct of public officers.

‎

‎It also allows the Governor enough time to reorganize his cabinet and fill vacancies to prevent any vacuum in the governance of the state as the political season approaches.
