2026 World Cup: Spain beat Argentina in final to win trophy

‎Spain have won the 2026 World Cup, following a 1-0 win over defending champions Argentina on Sunday.

‎This is La Roja’s second world title ever, after they won it first in 2010.

‎Luis de la Fuente’s men were in complete control of the game from start to finish, as Argentina struggled to impose themselves.

‎But Spain had nothing to show for their dominance in the regular 90 minutes of play.

‎The first half of extra time also ended without goals, with Argentina going down to 10 men after Enzo Fernandez picked up a second booking.

‎However, in the opening minutes of the second half, Ferran Torres slammed home a knockdown from Nico Williams and it proved to be the winner.
