Mr Abdulwaheed Odunuga, the NNPP House of Representatives Candidate, Kosofe Federal Constituency in the Feb. 25 General Elections, has congratulated winner of the seat, Rep. Kafilat Ogbara of APC.
According to reports, the 10th National Assembly was inaugurated on Tuesday in Abuja, with presiding officers elected.
Odunuga, also the National Vice-President, Joint Action For Good Governance, in a congratulatory letter on Tuesday in Lagos, said that Ogbara’s victory at the poll remained a testament to her dedication, hard work, and the trust bestowed upon her by the constituents.
“Remember that you are now entrusted with the responsibility to represent the aspirations and interests of our constituents. Uphold the principles of transparency, integrity, and accountability, as these are the pillars of a successful democratic system.
“Engage in constructive dialogue and collaboration with your fellow representatives to ensure the best interests of the constituency and the nation.
“Embrace diversity, as our constituency is a vibrant tapestry of cultures, beliefs, and opinions.
“Strive to be a unifying force, fostering harmony and understanding among different segments of society,” Odunuga advised.
He urged the winner to always remain accessible to the people she is serving and actively listen to their concerns and prioritise their needs.
According to her, Ogbara should be proactive in addressing people’s challenges and working toward sustainable solutions that improve the lives of the constituents.
Odunuga urged the lawmaker to utilise her position to advocate for equitable policies, socio-economic development, and the overall progress of Kosofe Federal Constituency.
He advised her to empower the youth, support education, promote healthcare initiatives, and champion infrastructural improvements that would enhance the well-being of the community.
