The House of Representatives member-elect for Aguta Federal Constituency of Anambra State, Dominic Ifeanyichukwu Okafor, said the 10th National Assembly “is going to be a game changer.”
He stated this at the ongoing 10th NASS Induction Programme at the International Conference Centre in Abuja on Thursday.
He urged Nigerians to expect quality representation from the incoming assembly.
“Let me be very honest with you; we [Reps] are all listening to the Speakership aspirants. We are listening to what they have to offer the House. I tell you, the 10th Assembly is going to be a game-changer. Nigerians are looking forward to us. Nigerians expect so much from us. So, I must tell you honestly that we are engaging with them [speakership aspirants], and at the right time we will be able to make the right decision,” Okafor said.
Okafor, who said he left his comfort zone as a business executive to join politics because of his passion to serve his people, avowed that, as a first-timer coming from the private sector, the induction programme has given him insights into the legislative business.
