The Organisers of the Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit, led by Ambassador Kenule Nwiya Jnr, who also serves as the World President of the Coalition of Entertainers Worldwide, have sent a strong congratulatory message to Sydney Sparrow following his emergence as the Interim National President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), alongside his newly appointed executives.
In his message, Ambassador Nwiya described the development as a timely opportunity to reset the association, urging the new leadership to embrace responsible, inclusive, and visionary governance. He emphasised that PMAN has endured prolonged internal crises and confusion, noting that the current transition presents a rare chance to rebuild trust, unity, and institutional strength within the body.
The global entertainment leader further called on PMAN members and stakeholders across the country to give Sparrow and his team maximum support throughout their tenure, stressing that collective backing is critical to achieving meaningful reform.
Ambassador Nwiya expressed confidence in Sparrow’s leadership capacity, citing his antecedents and experience in the creative industry as strong indicators of success.
According to him, a stable and focused PMAN would significantly uplift entertainers and reposition Nigeria’s music industry for greater local and international relevance.
“This is a defining moment for PMAN. I urge Sparrow and his executives to lead with integrity, unity, and purpose, and to use this opportunity to free the association from the shackles of confusion it has long endured. I call on all entertainers to give him their maximum support. With Sparrow’s antecedents, I strongly believe he will do great things for entertainers in Nigeria,” Amb. Kenule added.
