Amaechi lied, I know his wife very well – Wike counters predecessor on wife’s occupation

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, says the former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, lied about his wife’s occupation.

Recall that Amaechi, a former Minister of Transportation, had in an interview on Thursday said his wife is an industrialist.

However, Wike, while featuring on Channels TV on Friday, said Amaechi’s wife is a trader and not an industrialist.

The FCT Minister wondered why his predecessor would bring his wife into the public discussion.

He said, “I know Amaechi’s wife very well. Amaechi is insulting Nigerians. When did your wife become an industrialist?

“Which of the manufacturing companies does she own?

“I have always said that if we are playing politics, let’s play politics and leave our wives out of it.

“Amaechi doesn’t know the difference between industrialists and traders.”
