The JDC released the inmates from Yolde Pate, Yola Old and Jimeta medium security custodial centers after reviewing their cases between September 10 and September 13.

The committee, headed by the Chief Judge, Justice Hapsat Abdulrahaman, discharged a total of 223 out of 461 inmates at Yolde Pate New Medium Security Custodial Center.

At the Yola Old Correctional Center in Yola South, the committee freed 58 out of 343 awaiting trial inmates, granted bail to 27 others and discharged nine out of 110 convicts who are serving various prison terms.

Also, at Jimeta Prison, the committee freed 23 awaiting trial inmates as well as five convicts.
