Nasarawa United defender, Nelson Abiam has revealed the secret behind his maiden goal for the Solid Miners.
The towering left-back joined the Lafia club from Wikki Tourists during the mid-season transfer window.
Abiam’s first half goal helped Nasarawa United to secure a 1-0 victory against Shooting Stars at the New Jos Stadium.
He said the instruction to join the attack from head coach, Abubakar Arikya paved the way for the goal.
“I got an instruction from our technical crew to go forward to the last side of the post,” Abiam said.
“I obeyed it, and fortunately, the ball from a corner kick met me after a goal-line scramble which helped me get my first goal for this club.
“This is so special to me and the team because it was the winning goal for us.”
